Hi, I'm Maile. I have a different name because I was born on Maui, and in Hawaii they only believe in vowels. It's pronounced "Mylie"...in case you were wondering. =)

My career in photography started at a glamour-shots type place way back in 1990. I loved big hair and way-too-dark burgundy lipstick, and begged them to hire me. Three years and a thousand feather boas later, I opened my own portrait studio in California with my friend Amber. Big bangs were on their way out, but looking great of course was still in. We took the 80s glamour concept and made it modern. With a more natural approach, our studio was successful from the start.

And this is the concept behind Relish. I know that people have pictures taken because they are celebrating something, so I want your experience to be fun. Basically I will make you look and feel like a rock star.

The reason for this blog is because there are lots of things to relish and celebrate in life. We hope you think so too, so send us your thoughts and ideas. And ya'll come back now, ya-hear?
